Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), an autonomous, statutory body tasked with regulating and promoting the insurance in India, has set up a nine member working Group under G. Srinivasan, director, National Insurance Academy, to study the suitability of insurers offering surety bonds for contractors.
